Our Mission
As a botanical organization, we work to maintain local greenery and encourage sustainability through volunteer work. Potted plant sales are held each semester to raise money for the club's continued impact. Our Events Gardening days allow our club members to learn how to plant, care, propagate and harvest from their plants. Nature walks encourage an appreciation for the native Texas plants and wildlife. Trips to botanical gardens helps us to teach our members about the native species of not only Texas, but the world. |
From the beginning |
Where we are now |
The society was established at Texas State University in January of 2018 with only 10 members. Our officers have worked hard over the years to build this organization from scratch into what it is today.
|
With our own room in the science greenhouse and a growing membership of +30 active participants The Plant Biology Society is up and coming. Every year we are hosting more events, fundraising more from our plant sales, and doing more volunteer work all across San Marcos.
